A Letter from The Helpers

The abortion clinic in Albury is run by the Fertility Control Clinic in Melbourne, which has been doing abortions for over forty years. Over the past eighteen years in Melbourne, and twelve years in Albury, the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants has always peacefully sought to inform women about dangers of abortion and provide women with an alternative to abortion including, where required, financial, emotional and practical help.

Despite the fact that the Helpers always only maintain a peaceful and prayerful presence, the Fertility Control Clinic in Melbourne have security personnel placed outside the clinic on the street which is very intimidating to the Helpers. On one occasion a security guard was found guilty of assaulting an elderly Helper who was maintaining a peaceful presence outside the clinic, and the Judge imposed, what he described as a “substantial penalty”, on the guard. Currently there are four allegations of assault against Helpers’ personnel being investigated by police.

People sympathetic to abortion contact police falsely alleging misconduct on the part of the Helpers. Over the 18 years no charge has ever been brought against Helpers’ personnel. The Helpers use cameras to provide police with factual evidence and have been the cause of many false allegations being dismissed by police as vexatious.

The allegations that Helpers are ‘filming’ patients using the abortion facilities is a smoke screen as security personnel at the Fertility Control Clinic regularly use cameras to film Helpers personnel as they approach the patients.

Over 200 women have accepted assistance from the Helpers and have been extremely thankful that they have been saved from the dreadful fate of abortion and for assistance, which often includes significant financial, practical and emotional support.

By way of example, the following testimonies reflect the relief and gratitude felt by parents who, with the assistance of the Helpers in Melbourne, have turned away from aborting their children:

“Hello Richard,

How are you? Hope everything is going good at your side.
Saira would be turning 8 months on 28th March. We both are grateful to you to have
Saira in our life. I still remember that day back in Dec’10, when we went to family
planning clinic in Carlton and met the helpers of God’s precious infants.. It is because of
you all who motivated us to continue ahead and face the challenges with your help and
support. We are really thankful to everyone who supported us to have such a beautiful
baby in our life. I’ve not seen the God however you all are God for our family. Thanks
for helping us in our bad times.

I’ve attached the recent photograph of our family.

Thanks & Regards

Sahil

“Dear Richard,

I wish to say how grateful my wife and I are to the people who belong to the Helpers of
God’s precious infants for offering help to my wife and to myself when we went to the
pathology control clinic in East Melbourne.

This enables us to cancel the appointment of the abortion and therefore to keep the
little baby Nicholas who is now 6 years old. Now he is a little beautiful boy.
We thank God for people who were there for us that morning and the little baby now
alive.

Don

  1. Okay, so to set the record straight:

Over the 18 years no charge has ever been brought against Helpers’ personnel.

    And…
a security guard was found guilty of assaulting an elderly Helper who was maintaining a peaceful presence outside the clinic, and the Judge imposed, what he described as a “substantial penalty”, on the guard. Currently there are four allegations of assault against Helpers’ personnel being investigated by police.
